Philipp Schaffer - MBA student from Germany
“Swinburne’s focus on entrepreneurial spirit and strategic leadership sparked my interest in their MBA program. The opportunity to undertake a research project like the ‘Integrating Project’ offers students like myself a great opportunity to deepen their knowledge in a particular industry or business area.
“The international environment at Swinburne enables students to prepare themselves for international work assignments. All lecturers follow an ‘open-door policy’ and discussions in class benefit from the diversity of the students. Most assignments can be completed in close collaboration with companies, thus enabling students to relate theory and practice. After completing the Swinburne MBA I feel can work in most areas of business, carry responsibility and implement my leadership skills.
“The focus on soft skills (which have hard consequences) in Swinburne’s MBA program has enabled me to succeed in job interviews. Employers appreciate the ability of Swinburne graduates to work in international teams. The manifold subjects have given me the opportunity to obtain detailed knowledge in most areas of business and develop my entrepreneurial spirit. I can apply these skills now in my day-to-day business as management consultant.”
